Laura Latta


Laura Latta is a co-Founder of Lawyer Moms of America and President of the Lawyer Moms Foundation.

Laura is an estate planning attorney in the Seattle-area. Prior to starting her solo practice, she represented cities and other local government entities in the Bay Area. She graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2006. She is admitted to the State Bar in both Washington and California.

Before co-Founding Lawyer Moms of America, Laura learned the ins-and-outs of grassroots activism as a volunteer leader with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. She served as WA State Chapter Leader and State Legislative Lead. She lobbied for common sense gun reform and worked to elect “gun sense” candidates, as well as, recruiting, training, and supporting new volunteer leaders.

Laura lives in Kenmore Washington with her husband, Trent. She spent several years as a stay-at-home mom to her two rambunctious daughters. She used to have hobbies and promises to remember what they are when migrant families are treated with basic human dignity and our communities are free from preventable gun violence.

Tovah Kopan

Vice President

Tovah Kopan is a co-founder and President of Lawyer Moms of America and Vice President of the Lawyer Moms Foundation.

After 6 years practicing law Tovah ceased active practice to work with law firms in the legal technology space. Currently Tovah works at Thomson Reuters with AmLaw 200 firms helping them reach their technology and research goals.

Tovah serves in leadership roles in the Northern New Jersey Alumni Association of Chi Omega and Alma for Justice. She is an active member of her community serving most often as her boys’ chauffeur.

A native of Lancaster, PA and a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Orioles fan, Tovah lives in northern New Jersey with her three boys.

Elizabeth Gray Nunez

Vice President

Elizabeth Gray Nunez is a public policy attorney who lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband and daughter. She got involved to fight our country’s incarceration of children because she is a mother and a lawyer who cares deeply about the rights of children and families.

Erin Albanese


Erin Albanese is a co-founder and serves as Treasurer and a director of the Lawyer Moms Foundation. Erin founded her own law firm, the Law Office of Erin Albanese, PLLC, in 2017. Her practice focuses on nonprofit and business law, including venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, corporate and nonprofit formations, and a wide variety of transactions. She previously worked at prestigious international firms in Houston, Boston, and the District of Colombia. Erin is a co-founder and serves as an officer and director of Washington Immigrant Defense Network. Erin lives in the Seattle area with her husband and daughter.

Natalie Roisman


Natalie Roisman is a co-founder and Secretary of Lawyer Moms of America and the Lawyer Moms Foundation.

Natalie is a partner at the law firm of Wilkinson Barker Knauer in Washington, D.C. as well as the firm’s Director of Social Responsibility, a position that includes leading the firm’s efforts on diversity and inclusion, coordinating pro bono legal service, and organizing community engagement activities. She previously worked in the federal government and at an AmLaw 100 firm.

Natalie serves in leadership roles for the Women's Bar Association of D.C. and the Federal Communications Bar Association. She is treasurer of the children’s literacy nonprofit Read Early and Daily, a founding co-leader of the Arlington, Virginia chapter of the Muslim-Jewish women’s bridge-building group, the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, and a member of the Volunteer Arlington MLK Day of Service advisory council.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware and a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, Natalie lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband and three children.

Jasmine Blackmeir

Jasmine Blackmeir is a passionate advocate for women and girls. She is currently a partner at Potomac Law Group, PLLC, and was formerly counsel at the law firm Morgan Lewis. Her law practice focuses on negotiating complex real estate transactions. Jasmine jumped into the issue of migrant rights after seeing horrifying images of children being separated from their parents at the border.

She resides in the Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.

Shabnam Clinton

Shabnam Clinton is the Diversity & Inclusion Officer of Lawyer Moms Foundation.

Shabnam is a senior attorney advisor in the federal government and previously worked as an associate at a global law firm. Shabnam also owns a skincare business and serves as a leader on the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Empowerment, and Action) Council, which focuses on supporting entrepreneurs through diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Shabnam lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and two sons.

Katie Gannon

Katie Gannon is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in internal HR, management and consulting. She has been an active member of Lawyer Moms of America since June 2018 and is excited to be on the board of Lawyer Moms Foundation. Katie is a stay at home mom and passionate activist. She lives in Cary, North Carolina, with her husband, son, and two dogs.

Sandra Glading

Sandra, a longtime communications professional, has been responsible for media relations and communication strategy at companies including Google, 21st Century Fox and Grubhub, and developed and executed communications for consumer brands and technology products and services at The Outcast Agency and Hill & Knowlton. She is passionate about driving positive social change and treating all people with kindness and compassion, and got involved with Lawyer Moms of America because she couldn't imagine not trying to help the families separated at our borders. She is grateful to live in New York with the people she loves: her husband and two sons...and two cats who think they're dogs.

Brigid O’Flaherty

Brigid O’Flaherty currently stays at home with her energetic toddler. She has over 10 years experience in academic and government research in the Atlanta area. She strongly passionate about addressing social inequities and has been an active member of Lawyer Moms of America since summer 2018, recently joining the board. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband, daughter, and 3 cats.

Marisa Portuondo

Marisa Portuondo is the founder of Portuondo Law Firm, which focuses on business, construction, and property damage matters. She has served on the Board for the Miami-Dade League of Women Voters and as the Chairwoman for her local Education Advisory Committee. She is passionate about civil rights and giving back to her community. A child of immigrants, she is committed to fighting human trafficking and advocating for the humane treatment of immigrants and refugees and ending the needless separation of families at our borders and around the nation.
